LSROK
LITTLE STEVENS ROCK AND CAREER FOUNDATION
LSROK is a non-profit foundation with the goal of providing young people tools to develop their skills, awaken their interests, learn to work better as a team, and further develop paths for a sustainable career.
Based in Halden, Norway, LSROK activities are aimed at young people with different cultural interests and backgrounds. Inclusion, strengthening cultural cooperation, diversity and solving common problems and challenges stand as central values.
Steven Van Zandt’s Rock and Roll Forever Foundation (RRFF)’s TeachRock educational initiative operates in all 50 US states, TeachRock asks young people what music they are listening to. Then their interest is used to get them excited to learn and discuss social affairs, history, politics, civil rights, injustice and other topics that matter in society.
‘In 2007 I created the Rock and Roll Forever Foundation and the TeachRock education program using music as the most accessible, effective, and lasting method of creating a common ground for communication between teachers and students.’

TEACHROCK
KULTURHUSET HALDEN
The Kulturhuset is the creative hub of this vibrant town of Halden. Home venue to many LSROK activities, the Kulturhuset is intended for anyone who just wants to take a breather, experience culture, have a place to work, see an exhibition, enjoy a concert or just want to go out with friends.
Kulturhuset Halden has a professional stage, large exhibition area, creative boutiques and a restaurant on the first floor. Here, choirs, writers, associations, clubs and other cultural actors can rent rooms and use the event hall to perform their art. With offices and studios on the second and third floors, it is an excellent location for cultural business activities.
HIMF - HALDEN INTERNATIONAL MUSIC FILM FESTIVAL
HIMF profiles music films with a main focus on Norwegian film productions – original, creative, compelling and impactful within the areas of feature films, documentaries, concert films and music videos.
Together with Little Stevens LSROK, HIMF is collaborating with the region and the county to help young people better prepare for tomorrow's challenges.
This year, HIMF 2025 kicks off with a free of charge education and career day on October 29.
